Bring your questions and hear from a distinguished panel of investors representing both VC firms and Angel groups on current issues and trends in early-stage investing and how you can best position yourself to get funded.  The panel will be moderated by Steve Weiss of the North Bay Angels.

Steve Weiss. Steve is a co-founder of the North Bay Angels and General Partner of Medical Technology Partners. He has extensive experience as the CEO of several medical device companies, as well as in early stage venture capital partnerships such as MTP and Montgomery Medical Ventures.

Cheryl Beninga. Cheryl is a Managing Director of American River Ventures, a venture capital firm focused on energy efficiency technologies. She has invested in and built technology based businesses for over 20 years, including as a Director and Senior Investment Manager with Intel Capital.

Graham Crooke and Evgeny Zaitsev. Graham and Evgeny are General Partners of Helix Ventures. They previously managed life science portfolios at Asset Management Company, one of the oldest venture capital firms in Silicon Valley. Graham was also a partner at private equity firm Ticonderoga Capital.

David Hehman. David is co-founder of Spartina Ventures, LLC, an angel fund for Internet start-ups. He has co-founded and sold five technology businesses, and is active on the Boards of many others.

Max Shapiro. Max is a member of Keiretsu Forum, the world’s largest angel investor network, and founder and CEO of PeopleConnect. He previously owned and operated a company that produced sports camps for children and adults, and was once the youngest talent scout in the history of the NBA.
